WHAT WE DO

Vision

Our vision is to see Christ glorified in Thailand by making enduring disciples in and through local churches.

We do this in two main ways. First, we serve Eternal Grace Church (EGC)––a local church plant in Mae Joe, Chiang Mai. We have found that EGC has become the center of our life and ministry in Thailand. Much of what we do flows out of the local church.

Second, we serve on the Theological Training Initiative team. The Theological Training Initiative (TTI) Team is dedicated to equipping pastors and church leaders with reproducible theological training that fosters strong, healthy churches, and supports the sending of healthy missionaries.

The Missionary Task

When we look in the New Testament we can see that the Missionary Task (the M-Task) can be summarized in 6 different components. These components are not necessarily sequential––missionaries should never stop sharing the gospel and discipling believers. With that said, many missionary teams will have 1-2 components of the missionary task that they focus on. Our team primarily focuses on Leadership development.

Below is a list and description of each component of the M-Task and how our team engages with each one.

Entry

We seek to gain access to the Thai people by entering into their communities, learning the Thai language and culture, and building meaningful relationships.

Evangelism

We seek to share the gospel with those around us consistently and boldly through word and deed.

Discipleship

We seek to disciple Thai believers through the Word of God in order that they may have a mature faith that endures and reproduces.

Church Formation

We seek to help new disciples either join an existing church or form a new church if there is not one in their community. We desire to see biblically faithful and functionally healthy churches formed.

Leadership Development

We seek to raise up indigenous leaders through the local church and within Thai seminaries. We desire to equip and mobilize these leaders to serve the church and be on mission.

Exit & Partnership

We seek to partner with indigenous believers in such a way that they can faithfully continue gospel work without our presence. Exiting is inevitable and we want to leave the field better than we found it.

Thais Sending Thais Initiative

Thais Sending Thais is one initiative our Theological Training Initiative team is engaged with.

Our vision is to see a thriving community of healthy Thai churches filled with leaders poised to multiply disciples throughout Thailand and the rest of the world

Thais Sending Thais exists to empower and nurture the growth of the Thai church by partnering with local churches to foster a strong community of believers dedicated to spiritual maturity, evangelism & discipleship.

We currently pursue our mission through three primary pathways: Training, Mentoring, and Resourcing. Each pathway is anchored by a core program—Bible Camp serves as our Training pathway, The Timothy Project provides structured Mentoring, and the GO Certificates function as our Resourcing pathway.

1.) Bible Camp:

Bible Camp is an annual four-day camp developed for 18-29 year old Thai believers. Participants engage in an intensive Bible training curriculum designed to empower them and encourage them both in their Biblical knowledge as well as their faith. Participants will be challenged to take greater steps of obedience in their personal relationships with Jesus as well as to take steps towards greater leadership in their local church.

2.) The Timothy Project:

The Timothy Project partners aspiring Thai missionaries with current cross-cultural church-planters to learn from and serve alongside for 2-12 month terms. Just as Paul mentored Timothy, we believe that cross-cultural missions requires both hands-on experience and mentorship. The Timothy Project is created specifically to inspire a new generation of cross-cultural disciple makers that are grounded in biblical truth and supported through local church partnerships.

We sent out our first Timothies in the Spring of 2025 to 2 locations––a team working with the Wa People and another working in Central Thailand.

3.) GO Certificates:

The GO Certificates program is offered in partnership with Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. Our purpose is to deliver biblically faithful, online theological training tailored for Thai Christians. This program complements other indigenous seminaries by providing an additional pathway for growth. Through this initiative, we seek to equip Thai believers with the resources, knowledge, and tools to engage in God’s mission—both across Thailand and around the world.

In 2025 we produced our first 3 courses.
